The approach
A picture book is a colour-management project wearing a friendly jacket. The illustration is commissioned and art-directed, page turns are planned against the text before any final artwork is made, and the book is proofed on the actual stock — because a red trunk that glows on screen can arrive from press looking brown. Case-bound rather than paperback, because this is a book that gets read at bedtime several hundred times.
